With the introduction of dental implant, the function and esthetics of the tooth can be recovered without causing damage to the adjacent tooth. Due to the advantages of dental implant, this has rapidly spread out in clinical practice. Furthermore, the achievement in perfection of implants by Korean clinicians has become the highest in the world.
Nowadays, not only the public's interest in oral health increasing, the attractive appearance including dentition and expectation for it is also increasing. So, we must consider the harmony of implant restoration with adjacent teeth and periodontal tissue simultaneously.
For satisfactory results of this, clinicians need to consider making a treatment plan including orthodontic tooth movement for the success of the implants. With easy and simple orthodontic tooth movement using TAD, clinician will be able to make the implant restoration in daily practice easier and more convenient, as well as more aesthetic and functional restorations. Furthermore, it will increase the long-term stability and satisfaction, so that not only the clinicians but also the patients will be happy.
In this lecture, I would like to talk about the implant site development using TAD for crowns and roots as well. It is a very simple and easy, but it will lead to more functional and aesthetic implant restorations.
