Non-extraction treatment is performed by the expansion of the arch or distal movement of the posterior teeth.
Maintenance of intermolar width is an important factor to prevent relapse after orthodontic treatment.
On the other hand, non-extraction treatment using posterior movement of the molar teeth to the third molar position which theoretically has no reason to cause relapse after treatment.
Orthodontic treatment using MIA(Micro-Implant Anchorage) makes it easier to move posterior teeth posteriorly which was previously impossible.
Since 1998, I have been performing non-extraction treatment using a microimplant with a diameter of 1.3 mm which is placed between the roots of tooth because of ease of treatment.
I will present a long-term follow up cases of using microimplant in non-extraction treatment in this way.
